A commercial lot under snow

Snow & ice management

Snow removal and ice management in Calgary

A snow contract is judged on the mornings nobody has to think about it. Clearing runs to a trigger depth agreed before the season, so the question is never whether today counted — it is only whether it snowed.

What gets cleared

Everything people walk and drive on.

  • Parking lots and stalls

  • Walkways and sidewalks

  • Entrances and thresholds

  • Fire routes and loading zones

  • Residential drives and steps

  • Windrows left by the city plough

A cleared path through snow

Cleared before the morning, not after the complaint.

Commercial sites are done before opening and residential before the day starts. Ice control goes down on the same visit rather than as a second call-out, because the thaw-freeze cycle here does more damage than the snowfall does.

How it is set up

Agreed in autumn, not argued in January.

  • A trigger depth

The depth that brings us out, written down before the first snowfall so nobody is interpreting it at 5am.

  • Seasonal or per event

A flat seasonal rate for budgeting, or per visit if the site is small. Both are priced off the same site walk.

  • Ice control included

Sand or salt chosen for the surface and the temperature, since below a certain point salt simply stops working.

  • Snow that has nowhere to go

Piles get stacked where they will not block sightlines or drain across a walkway. Hauling if the lot runs out of room.

Book the site walk before the first snowfall.

Or just call. Nothing here has to start with a form.
