Questions

Answers before you call

The things people ask most often, answered plainly. If what you need isn't here, it's worth a two-minute conversation rather than a form.

Frequently asked

What people ask us.

Twenty questions, grouped roughly in the order they come up — what we do, what it costs, and what happens once work starts.

Construction, renovation and property services — general contracting, renovations of every size, interior and exterior trades, cleaning, snow and ice management, rental turnovers, and repairs. If it happens to a building, it is somewhere on this site.

Calgary and the surrounding areas. If you are outside the city and unsure whether you are in range, ask — it is better answered early than assumed, and the answer is often yes.

Yes. The consultation, the initial estimate and the written quote all cost nothing and commit you to nothing. You only pay once you have accepted a quote and work begins.

Both. Houses, condos and rentals on one side; offices, retail, clinics and tenant space on the other. Commercial work runs to different rules — occupancy classifications, fire separations, landlord criteria — and we work to them.

Yes, and small jobs are genuinely welcome. A single repair is a perfectly good reason to call. There is no minimum, and the same written scope and pricing applies whether it is one door or a whole floor.

You can. Plenty of work is one trade doing one thing. You get the same scope in writing and the same accountability as a full project — we do not treat a single-trade job as a favour.

Yes. One contract, one schedule and one point of contact covering design decisions, permits, every trade on site, inspections and handover. You are not coordinating anyone.

Because one company answers for the whole result. The scope is agreed in writing before anything starts, the quote is itemised rather than a single number, changes are priced and approved before they happen, and the same person is on your project from the first visit to the final walkthrough.

We talk about what you want, look at the space — in person, or from photos and measurements if you would rather — and put the scope in writing. The quote is line-itemed against that scope, so you can see what each part costs and adjust it before committing.

By scope, not by square footage. What drives a price is the specifics: whether services move, what condition the existing building is in, the level of finish, and what a permit requires. Every quote lists those items separately so nothing is buried in a lump sum.

That depends mostly on you. A clear scope with photos and measurements can be priced quickly. Anything needing a site visit takes as long as it takes to get there and look at it properly — we would rather be accurate than fast, because a rushed estimate is the one that changes later.

We will not put a number on it before seeing the space, because the honest answer varies enormously. What sets it is material and cabinetry lead times, permit turnaround at the City, whether services are moving, what the strip-out finds, and whether you are living in it. You get a realistic schedule with your quote, once we know which of those apply.

Yes. We identify which permits your scope needs, prepare and submit the applications, and book inspections in an order that does not stall the trades behind them. Unpermitted work tends to surface later — usually when you sell.

Yes, and so is every trade who sets foot on your property — confirmed before they attend, not taken on assurance. We are happy to provide documentation before you commit to anything.

Yes. Changes are normal. Anything that affects cost or sequence is priced and put in writing for your approval before it is carried out, so a change is a decision you make rather than a surprise on the final invoice.

Older buildings hide things — undersized wiring, rot, plumbing that was never quite right. We stop, show you what is there, explain the options, price the fix and get your decision before carrying on. Nothing gets quietly added.

Always. Construction dust keeps settling for days after the work stops, so a proper clean is staged rather than done once at the end. The site is left ready to use, and we walk it with you before calling it finished.

Yes — water, storm damage, heat loss, or anything leaving the property exposed. If it is happening right now, call rather than fill in a form, and we will talk you through what to shut off while we are on the way.

Year-round. Calgary construction does not stop in winter; the sequencing and the planning change. Snow and ice management runs through the season, and interior work carries on regardless of what is happening outside.

Use the quote form for anything with a scope attached, or the contact page for a question. You can also just call or email — there is no wrong way to reach us, and nothing here has to start with a form.

Nothing here commits you to anything, and no question is too small to ask. Call, email, or send the scope and we’ll price it.
