A building under construction, structure exposed

Construction

General contracting in Calgary

General contracting is the part most people underestimate. Not the trades — the sequencing, the decisions, the paperwork, and the person who has to hold all of it together. That is the job we take on. You deal with one team, and we deal with everyone else.

The concrete structure of a building under construction

Before the work

Scope, price and permission, settled while changing them is still cheap.

One person owns your project from the first site visit to the final walkthrough. They write the scope, build the schedule, book the trades in the right order, sit through the inspections, and tell you when something changes. Every decision gets recorded, so nothing depends on remembering a conversation. When a supplier misses a delivery or a wall opens up on something unexpected, you hear it from us early, with the options already worked out. That is what you are buying: a single point of accountability that does not move when the work gets complicated.

An estimate is only useful if it survives contact with the building. We price from a defined scope rather than a guess, break the number into line items you can actually read, and say plainly where the uncertainty sits — usually anything behind a wall or under a slab. Where conditions are unknown, we give a range and explain what would move it up or down. Consultation, initial estimate, and quote cost nothing. Detailed drawings, engineering, permit preparation, or destructive investigation may carry a fee, and we tell you before any of that begins.

Running the job

Trades sequenced, inspections booked, and the site kept workable.

Sequencing is where projects are won or lost. Rough-in has to pass inspection before insulation, insulation before drywall, drywall before paint, and every one of those trades has other jobs competing for the same week. We hold the calendar, confirm each trade the week before and the day before, and keep the site ready so nobody arrives to a space they cannot work in. Every trade is licensed and insured, confirmed before they set foot on the property. If one falls through, replacing them is our problem to solve, not yours to chase.

Most structural, electrical, plumbing, and gas work in Calgary needs a permit, and permitted work needs to pass inspection at defined stages. We identify what your scope requires, prepare and submit the application, and schedule inspections so they do not stall the trades behind them. Development permits, building permits, and trade permits each run on their own timeline; we tell you which ones apply and roughly how long the City is taking before you commit to a start date. Unpermitted work is a problem that surfaces later, usually when you sell.

Tell us what you're planning. We'll tell you what it actually involves.

Or just call. Nothing here has to start with a form.
